We opened a Bed & Breakfast in our attractive merchant’s house, characteristic of the Zaan region – and a listed building, dating from 1694 – in the spring of 2008. What began with a request from friends for accommodation for ‘their’ interim manager for one or two nights a week soon developed into our Bed & Breakfast.
Our U-shaped house – with nine rooms, three bathrooms, and a large enclosed garden – is ideally suited both to receiving guests and to our work as a writer and musician. Moreover, we have discovered the enjoyment of welcoming guests.
Since March 2008 a steady stream of guests, ranging from interim managers and businessmen and women to tourists from all corners of the world, have felt ‘at home’ in our Bed & Breakfast.
A little more than one year after we began our Bed & Breakfast we – to our great surprise – won the Dutch Bed & Breakfast Award, 2009, followed by the Eropuit in Eigen Land Award 2010-2011, apartment category.
We look forward to greeting you at our Bed & Breakfast!
