   Nous venons de passer deux nuits dans ce bed and breakfast (chambre d’hote) et nous pouvons que vous le recommander. Les avis précédents sont totalement justifiés : gentillesse des propriétaires , discrétion, propreté de la chambre, disponibilité pour nous recommander les endroits à découvrir et enfin un petit déjeuner vraiment divin…bref tout ce que l’on peut attendre d’un B&B Merci pour ce bon moment.

   Schitterende Bed and Breakfast in een perfect onderhouden monumentaal pand, gelegen in een zeer mooie streek met legio mogelijkheden voor dagtripjes. Wij zijn nu voor de 6e keer in 6 jaar tijd geweest. Heerlijk ontbijt in het luxe appartement, na slapen in de zeer comfortabele bedden. Ontvangst zoals altijd open en hartelijk met een overvloed aan tips voor de tochtjes of een dag heerlijk relaxen in de sauna en bad.
   Niets meer aan veranderen zou ik zeggen. Tot volgend jaar!!!

   Thank you Fred and Kelly for a wonderful stay at your apartment. We travelled from Scotland with our 11yr old granddaughter to experience her first cycling holiday abroad. It was only a 15ml cycle from the ferry and very enjoyable. We stayed in the Guest Suite which was spacious and beautifully furnished. We travelled to Amsterdam by train which was a quick 20min journey. Fred and Kelly are amazing hosts. Our granddaughter will have beautiful memories of her first cycling experience abroad. Thank You

   We had the good luck to have chosen Fred and Kelly’s place to end a three week vacation with a short stay in Amsterdam. The guest house, located in an historic house built in 1694, is decorated with exquisite taste and equipped with much thought given to what any traveler may need. For us, the location was perfect; it is within walking distance to the outdoor Dutch museum, in a quiet village with great restaurants. A major supermarket can be found a short walk away if you want to eat in. While a bit out of the center, the public transportation system offers easy access to town or the opportunity to travel by train to some of the outlying areas of Holland. We loved sipping our glass of wine in the beautiful private garden with fountain just outside our flat. Our hosts offered friendly personal service without intrusion. And when our taxi that we had pre-arranged to take us to the airport did not show, we were grateful for that level of care. Fred quickly assessed the situation and called a local company who only took 10 minutes to get there and safely got us to the airport on time, avoiding what could have been a travel disaster. Throughout the whole process, Kelly was responsive and very easy with which to communicate. It was a wonderful way to end a wonderful vacation. We have only the highest recommendations for their guest house and would love the opportunity to visit again.

   Absolutely Wonderful accommodation in an amazing setting

   You will not be disappointed staying in this fantastic house, everything you need is supplied, the standard of the accommodation is really lovely and spotless clean, Kelly and Fred are really helpful and are on hand if you need them. The location is a real bonus in a beautiful area and easy transport links to visit further areas of this lovely country.
   We would have no hesitation in recommending this luxury guest house and we will certainly be returning.
   Thank you again Kelly and Fred for making over stay so special.

   Met vijf zussen genoten wij een gastvrij verblijf in \’t Zaanse Koopmanshuis. Prachtige accommodatie, zeer schoon, alles voorradig en een gastheer- en vrouw die zich precies goed tot hun gasten weten te verhouden: op de achtergrond, maar altijd beschikbaar. Per ongeluk vergeten kleding werd ons door hen toegestuurd, wat een heel prettige service is. Een aanrader, dit verblijf.

   The quality of accommodation was amazing and your kindness and that of Fred topped it off!
   The place was so cosy and the brekky so delicious. I am now thoroughly homesick!

   Zeer mooi appartement met sauna en lekkere grote jacuzzi. Gelegen aan rustige weg op loopafstand van de Zaanse Schans, maar zonder de toeristische drukte. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren. Woning met prachtige Zaanse karakteristieke bouw.

    Een prima verblijf gehad in deze B&B! Een prachtig rijksmonument met alles erop en eraan: zeer sfeervolle en passende inrichting, prima bedden, heerlijk bubbelbad, een mooie sauna en een uitgebreid ontbijt. En alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Zeer warme ontvangst met uitgebreide uitleg over de omgeving. Terecht dat Fred en Kelly met hun B&B in de prijzen vallen. Een echte aanrader. We gaan het zeker verder vertellen.

    Bei Ankunft standen frisches Obst, feine Pralinen und Wein bereit. Zur sehr freundlichen Begrüßung gab es Kaffee und Tee. Die Einführung von Frau Snel in das Appartement und die Ausführungen zu Freizeitmöglichkeiten der Umgebung und Fahrtalternativen nach Amsterdam waren sehr hilfreich und informativ. Das Appartement ist perfekt ausgestattet.
    Das zusätzliche gebuchte Frühstück war phänomenal, reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich; es wird morgens gebracht und man frühstückt ganz ungestört im Appartement.
    Sehr genossen haben wir die Sauna und den Whirlpool.
    Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sicher noch mal wieder kommen.

    We hebben genoten van het verblijf in ‘t Zaanse Koopmanshuis. We zijn zeer hartelijk ontvangen en waren onder de indruk van het mooie en bijzondere appartement en de aandacht die is besteed aan de inrichting en de details.
    We kregen een uitgebreide uitleg over het gebruik van het appartement en over mogelijkheden in de omgeving.
    Het ontbijt was zeer goed verzorgd.
    Dus absoluut een aanrader.

    Mijn man en ik hebben 2 heerlijke dagen gehad in de B&B van Kelly en Fred.
    Appartement alle lof, tot in de puntjes verzorgd,dikke 10! Ontbijt uitmuntend!
    Zeer meedenkende,zorgzame gastvrouw.Top!
    Goede tip van Kelly voor ons, de fietstaxi.Genieten thuis nog na!

    Mijn man en ik hebben 2 nachten gelogeerd in B&B ‘t Zaanse koopmanshuis. We hadden dit weekendje weg cadeau gekregen van familie en heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen. Het appartementje heeft alle nodige voorzieningen en is kraaknet. Het was voor ons een romantisch weekendje weg en wij geraakten helemaal in de sfeer dankzij de mooie locatie. Lekker genieten in het ruime bubbelbad en tot rust komen in de sauna. De kamer is erg mooi en ruim, het lichtkacheltje zorgt voor extra gezelligheid. Het ontbijt was tot in de puntjes verzorgd en was een mooie start om aan de dag te beginnen. Kelly is een charmante gastvrouw die je wegwijs maakt naar leuke plekjes in de streek en ons hartelijk heeft ontvangen. Je voelt je onmiddelijk welkom! Amsterdam is trouwens vlot bereikbaar met de trein om een daguitstap te maken, op 20 minuten ben je er. Lekker eten vlakbij is mogelijk in restaurant de vijfde smaak, een aanrader. Wij vonden ons verblijf hier echt de moeite en het is een streek met veel bezienswaardigheden dus wij komen zeker nog eens terug!

    “Kelly und Fred sind fantastische Gastgeber. Sie versorgten uns mit Infos über Amsterdam, Koog, Zaandam und der Umgebung mit grosser Liebe zum Detail. Das Apartment ist grossartig, nach dem Saunagang kann man im Garten abkühlen und dann in den Whirlpool hüpfen, danach in dem sehr guten Restaurant 30 m weiter zu Abend essen. Auch sehr gut, dass es ein separaten Eingang gibt. Dire Beschreibung des Appartments ist sehr genau und präzise, dann kann man sich sehr gut drauf verlassen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!”

    It was such a great stay in the house : so nice hosts, such a beatiful and charming bedroom. The accomodation is in a really quiet place and it is really easy to go to Amsterdam. We really enjoy our stay at Fred & Kelly accommodation.

    Kelly was very accommodating. She really took care of all our needs throughout our stay. The listing description was very much accurate. I’ve been to so many bed and breakfast accommodations, but this is the best I’ve been so far. They even have LED lights (Infrared installation KS)in the shower and it felt like we’re in sauna. The place is also ideal as it is just a walk away from the windmills. My friend and I had a really great time.

    Bedankt Kelly en Fred, voor het super weekend in jullie karakteristieke B&B. Het ontbijt was fantastisch en de pronkkamer erg bijzonder met allerlei luxe. De Zaanse schans was erg mooi, maar helaas is 2 dagen te kort voor al wat de omgeving te bieden heeft. We komen vast nog eens terug om dit mooie stukje Nederland nog eens verder te ontdekken.

    “The rooms are very private and beautifully appointed with chairs and tables, writing desk, bureau, etc. The suite includes a private Finnish sauna and jacuzzi tub, which were so fabulous I used them three times during a two-night stay. The rooms are immaculate and Kelly gave us all kinds of tourist information and told us exactly how to catch the train back from the central station. The house is historical and appears lovingly and expertly maintained. It felt like an attraction in itself. We booked this quiet spot for a weekend getaway to Amsterdam and found it very easy to take the train into the city. But we were also charmed by Koog aan de Zaan and the surrounding area with scenic bridges, windmills, cheese shops. Kelly served us an amazing breakfast both mornings. It was an enormous fresh meal, more than worth the €5 extra per person. We had a sort of deluxe continental breakfast–coffee, yogurt with honey & granola, a basket of breads with spreads and preserves, a plate of cheeses and meats–all this with eggs and, the second day, some Dutch pancakes. There is a lovely dining table in the suite that has windows onto the garden. I would especially recommend this roomy yet cozy suite for a couple. We felt welcome, comfortable, and relaxed. Kelly & Fred are brilliant at the little details that make you feel like you are visiting someone’s home rather than passing another night at the hotel. It was such a pleasure and I feel lucky we stumbled upon it. ”
